Joe Cool Cigar Humidity Beads are a moisture-sensitive silica material which absorb and adsorb moisture to maintain a 70% RH.  8 oz. will humidify up to 2.5 Cubic Feet.  Extra beads will allow you more moisture buffering capacity for your humidor allowing the humidity to get back to the optimal 70% RH.

Joe Cool Cigar Humidity Beads are a moisture-sensitive silica material which are manufactured to maintain a 68-70% RH.  1 bag will humidify up to 2.5 Cubic Feet.  Extra beads will allow you more moisture buffering capacity for your humidor; allowing the humidity to get back to the optimal 68-70% RH.
Simply
remove the humidity beads from the bag and add them to your container
of choice. Place the container within your humidor and wait 2-3 hours to
see where your humidity (RH%) is at. Please make sure your hygrometer
is calibrated and that your humidor has been properly seasoned. Our
beads leave our California warehouse at 68-70% RH. However, depending on
travel time and your location within the United States that RH% may
differ. Lightly mist the beads with a spray bottle (Distilled water
ONLY) if the RH% in your humidor is below 68. Close your humidor and
wait another 2-3 hours and recheck the RH%. Continue to do this until
your humidor reaches the 68-70% range. Do not over saturate the beads.
The beads are easily recharged again by lightly misting them.
