Vintage 1938-1963 Girl Scout SENIOR MEMBERSHIP PIN Sorority-Style 1940's? NICE

Here we have one vintage Girl Scout
Senior Membership Pin
.
It has a few small dark spots – It is not perfect, but still looks nice overall.
This pin was designed to be similar to a sorority pin and it was used from
1938 to 1963
.  It measures approximately 1/2″ in diameter – I have included a photo next to a dime to give you a better idea of size.
Several versions of this pin were made: one with 4-stars and one with 7-stars.  This is the
4-Star
version.
The
Collector’s Guide
does not mention the different types and gives no indication about the
specific age of each.  However it says that these Senior Pins have
safety catches.  This one does indeed have a safety catch, which at first would make me assume it is 50’s or 60’s.
HOWEVER, this one has a larger trefoil shape, which you see in
1940’s membership pins
. So this pin is rather a mystery as to its exact age.
